राजनाथ सिंह यांची मोठी घोषणा; संरक्षण क्षेत्राचे आत्मनिर्भरच्या दिशेने पाऊल
नवी दिल्ली: कोरोनामुळे देशातील अर्थव्यवस्थेवर विपरीत परिणाम झाले आहे. मात्र यातून संधी साधत आत्मनिर्भर होण्याचा उत्तम मार्ग शोधण्याचा प्रयत्न करून आत्मनिर्भर बनण्याचे आवाहन केंद्र सरकार करत आहे. दरम्यान आत्मनिर्भरतेच्या दिशेने पहिले पाऊल संरक्षण क्षेत्राने टाकले आहे. केंद्रीय संरक्षण मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह यांनी आज रविवारी ९ रोजी आत्मनिर्भर भारतसाठी मोठा निर्णय घेतला आहे. १०१ उत्पादनांची यादी तयार करण्यात आली असून या उत्पादनांच्या आयातीला स्थगिती देण्याचा निर्णय राजनाथ सिंह यांनी घेतला आहे. भारताच्या संरक्षण खात्याला मोठ्या प्रमाणावर उत्पादनासाठी संधी मिळेल असे जेव्हा पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदींनी जाहीर केले त्यानंतर हा निर्णय घेण्यात आला आहे.

संरक्षणासाठी लागणारी उत्पादने ही भारतातील असावीत असा या निर्णया मागचा मुख्य उद्देश आहे. आत्तापर्यंत २६० योजनांसाठी भारताच्या तिन्ही दलांनी एप्रिल २०१५ ते ऑगस्ट २०२० या कालवाधीत साडेतीन लाख कोटींची कंत्राटे दिली होती. मात्र आता हीच कंत्राटे देशात मिळाली तर पुढील सहा ते सात वर्षात भारतातील उत्पादकांना ४ लाख कोटींचे ठेके दिले जातील.
MoD has also bifurcated the capital procurement budget for 2020-21 between domestic and foreign capital procurement routes. A separate budget head has been created with an outlay of nearly Rs 52,000 crore for domestic capital procurement in the current financial year.

अर्थसंकल्पात संरक्षण क्षेत्रासाठी मोठी तरतूद करण्यात आल्याचेही राजनाथ सिंह यांनी सांगितले.
This decision will offer a great opportunity to the Indian defence industry to manufacture the items in the negative list by using their own design and development capabilities or adopting the technologies designed & developed by DRDO to meet the requirements of the Armed Forces.

आज सकाळीच संरक्षण मंत्रालयाने संरक्षण मंत्री मोठी घोषणा करणार असल्याचे ट्वीट केले होते, त्यानंतर संपूर्ण देशाचे याकडे लक्ष लागले होते. भारत आणि चीन संबंध ताणले गेल्यानंतर या घोषणेकडे अधिक लक्ष लागले होते.
Almost 260 schemes of such items were contracted by the Tri-Services at an approximate cost of Rs 3.5 lakh crore between April 2015 and August 2020. It is estimated that contracts worth almost Rs 4 lakh crore will be placed upon the domestic industry within the next 6 to 7 years.
